This was one of these moments where you find that everything sucks... I was late for a conference call with Brendan and Xavier Borderie, a French journalist. It was pouring and I was riding my scooter on the slippery paved streets of Paris with too little visibility. I was pretty sure that my jacket would not be waterproof enough and I would end up soaked. I knew I would have to take care of my two kids and feed them in between two conference calls tonight and make sure that they properly made their homework.
And then the clouds started to go away, the sun to shine, and the light was gorgeous. All of a sudden, I started enjoying my ride, and wished that I could share this with my friends and family.
Then I realized I had my point and shoot camera with me, so I managed to stop on the sidewalk (with my scooter, bad me!), and just took this picture :
The Eiffel Tower just after a shower
And you know what? I made it before Brendan on the phone, as I was right on time, and the call went well. And there is a life lesson that I should try to remember: Happiness in my life should not be a function of the weather!

Very nice picture for a nice lesson. Even if it's sometimes difficult not to have one's humor depending on the weather, especially when riding some two wheels stuff under raining cats and dogs...

You didn't have to ride like a madman through rain drops worrying about the time : I understood you probably could not make it for the call, and was ready to voice my muddy english at Brendan Then again, waiting for him with you was a pleasant surprise - and no one could have told you were in a hurry and stressed up about getting it all together. Chapoba.
Incidentally, your beautiful picture features the exact same local star I myself took a photo of that very same evening, with those clouds going away and a bright sun reflecting at me through a single window of a close residential building. The quality of the picture is quite poor, even by my standards, but reading about your story kinda gives it some value anyway.
Thanks for being yourself, Tristan.
